The Power of Emotion in Business
Emotions are essential to every leader and every organization. If we banned emotions from the workplace, we would lose loyalty, ambition, enthusiasm, empathy, compassion, service, joy, and other emotions, which are essential to a functioning organization. Of course, you can’t ban emotions from the workplace, but most people are functionally illiterate when it comes to understanding their own emotions and the emotions of others.
This month we are going to take a deeper dive into the topic of emotions. We will look at the myths and realities of emotions. We will also look at research that shows the relationship of a leader with high and low emotional intelligence on the organization. I will also share resources and tips for growing your emotional intelligence. This is a hot topic.
