    Margaret Hoogstra, IOM, TMP, CTE

    Margaret Hoogstra is a graduate of Hardin-Simmons University with professional experience in marketing, public relations, event planning, and fundraising. As the CEO of Texas Heritage Trails LLC, she directs entrepreneurial strategies that generate revenue for seven non-profit organizations. She coordinates the work of volunteers and freelancers and oversees all aspects in producing Authentic Texas, a quarterly statewide heritage magazine.

    Previously, as the executive director of the Texas Forts Trail Region, Margaret worked with a variety of organizations and agencies to increase tourism, foster historic preservation, and develop regional leadership in a 29-county area of Central West Texas. She has worked for and with an assortment of businesses and non-profit entities and at one time was a co-owner of an integrated marketing firm. As part of a military family, she has lived in a number of states and several Texas communities.

    Margaret and her husband Bill enjoy country living near Abilene, Texas.
